Joan's Story
Joan lost her job due to the pandemic. Having rent to pay and children to feed created so much anxiety that her stress was overwhelming. She initially reached out to JFS for counseling, and after assessing her situation, the counselor set up weekly appointments for her.
Joan also spoke to the Safety Net Coordinator and was able to apply for rental assistance and access the Alex and Sally Lebwohl Food Pantry.
