A Message from Board Co-Presidents

As we welcome 2026, the Jewish Family Service of Utah Board of Directors does so with a renewed commitment to our mission: strengthening individuals and families of all backgrounds through counseling, advocacy, care management, and education.

We are delighted to welcome four new Board Members beginning three-year terms: Stacey Bank, Andrew Gruber, Eric Hoffman, and Daniel Shapiro.

  • Stacey Bank, MD, is the Executive Medical Director of Clinical Services for the Utah Department of Health and Human Services. A board-certified family physician and Utah native, Stacey completed her undergraduate work at the University of Utah and earned her medical degree from Georgetown University.
  • Andrew Gruber, a long-time member of the JFS Governance Committee, returns to active Board service. He is the Executive Director of the Wasatch Front Regional Council, a regional planning organization serving six counties. Andrew is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Northwestern Law School and has also served on the Board of The McGillis School.
  • Eric Hoffman recently returned to Utah after a career with Lido Advisors in Los Angeles. A University of Utah graduate with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting, Eric began his career at KPMG and later worked as an options trader. He has served for several years on JFS’ Budget and Finance Committee, and we are grateful to welcome his expertise to the Board.
  • Daniel Shapiro, a Utah native, is well known in our community for his long-standing leadership and Board service, including his tenure as Board President of the I.J. and Jeanne Wagner JCC. A University of Utah graduate, Daniel currently serves as Senior Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and Brand Relationships at Red Points.

We are deeply grateful to our returning Board members whose dedication continues to guide and strengthen JFS. In addition to the Co-Presidents, our 2026 Executive Committee includes Co-Presidents-Elect Jim Isaacson (who also serves as Secretary) and Erin Litvack; Vice President Kim McGuire; Treasurer John Bergerson; and Members-at-Large Aaron Rokeach and Annabel Sheinberg.

We also acknowledge and appreciate the continued service of returning members, Patrice Arent, Harriet Berg, Gerry Goldman, Doug Goldsmith, Karen Lindau, Mara Rabin, Andrea Silver, Liz Tashjian, and Polly Unruh.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to David Dowsett (Past Board President), Sara Lambrinos, and Donna Milavetz for their invaluable contributions as they concluded their Board service in December. We are especially pleased that Donna will continue to serve JFS as a newly elected member of our Honorary Board, joining Joyce Dolcourt, Jay and Julie Jacobson, and Frank Yanowitz.

As we move into 2026, we do so with gratitude for our community, pride in the resilience of those we serve, and confidence in JFS’ ability to meet the challenges ahead—together.
