JFS Expands Access to Affordable Counseling by Accepting Medicaid

Recently, Melissa Zimmerman, Executive Director of Jewish Family Service (JFS), appeared on KPCW Radio’s Local News Hour to discuss the growing need for affordable mental health care in Utah and how JFS is working to meet that need by accepting Medicaid for mental health counseling services.

During the interview, Zimmerman highlighted the financial barriers many individuals and families face when seeking consistent mental health support. By accepting Medicaid, JFS is expanding access to high-quality, professional mental health counseling for more Utah residents, ensuring that cost is not a barrier to care.

Jewish Family Service offers compassionate, client-centered mental health services, including therapy for individuals, couples, and families. With Medicaid now accepted, JFS is able to serve a broader and more diverse community, helping individuals get the care they need to improve emotional well-being and overall quality of life.
