Parent Plus Program

Jewish Family Service's Parent Plus Program is for couples and families who want to strengthen their family relationships. The Parent Plus Program is open, inclusive, non-denominational, and free.

This FREE program includes:

  • Family Dinner and Childcare (ages 0-12 only)
  • Relationship Strengthening Workshop for Adults
  • Parenting Workshop for Adults
  • Enrichment for Children

Who

Any parenting couple — pre-engaged, pre-marital, married, committed, partners, co-parents, guardians, primary caregivers, grandparents, empty-nesters — all are welcome

What

  • FREE program based on empirically validated research
  • John Gottman's Seven Principles Program format
  • Skills-based learning environment
  • Personal issues not disclosed
  • Participants must commit to attend all sessions

Why

You wish to enhance a good partnership, need better conflict management tools, and desire to gain skills to address perpetual and solvable problems to improve your relationship and your parenting. 

Emotion-Focused Parenting Workshop

  • Based on Gottman’s Emotion Focused Parenting Program.
  • Helpful to have all parents/primary caregivers present.
  • Will take place at the Jewish Family Service - Salt Lake City office.

  • Weekly for six weeks on Thursdays, 5:30-7:30pm

Strengthening the Couple Relationship Workshop

  • Based on Gottman’s 7 Principles Program.
  • Both partners must be present.
  • Do not need to be married.
  • Will take place at the Jewish Family Service - Salt Lake City office.

  • Weekly for six weeks on Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30pm

PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Space limited, sign up today!

Both workshops include enrichment for children:
  • Activities and projects that are age appropriate
  • Two educators
  • Parents will be asked to take care of feeding and diapering
