Safety Net Program

Jewish Family Service is a rare "one stop shop" and provides a comprehensive system of care for the whole life situation of our clients. JFS is proud to serve all populations in Utah.

We provide a breadth of necessities all in one place to address varying needs for families in crisis:

  • Emergency Assistance Funds/Loans available, for those facing financial uncertainty, for circumstances such as pending eviction, suspension of utility or telephone services, unexpected medical bills, rent. Upon approval. For more information or to get started with your application today, email Tanya Alvarado or call 801-746-4334.Tanya Alvarado is JFS’s Safety Net Coordinator.

  • Individual and Family Counseling can help determine how JFS can help, whether it is through one or more of our programs or through providing emotional skills and support.  

  • Thrift Store Vouchers (upon availability)

  • Food Pantry - (Please note NEW Hours): Monday - Friday 11:00am-1:00pm, Curbside pickup (CLOSED Saturday-Sunday, State, Federal & Jewish holidays)
