GLEEFUL!  is a free chorus for those living with dementia and their care partners. Research suggests that singing songs can provide emotional and behavioral benefits for people with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. Studies have shown music may reduce agitation and improve behavioral issues that are common in the middle-stages of the disease. Even in the late-stages of Alzheimer's, a person may be able to tap to a beat or sing lyrics to a song from childhood. Participants in the choir are offered an opportunity to enjoy success, contribution, connection and creativity. No experience required! Members meet virtually every Wednesday at 3:30. Please contact Emily Christensen to receive a Zoom link.
